After spending a month on a trip to Bali in the last few weeks it appears that the project is off the rails in Kenya in a desperate attempt to get funding by bringing back the Hajiwa tree.

The Hajiwa trees belong to the Hajiwa, an indigenous tribe which was founded in the area around 1851. They are not considered to be a species of wild species but were part of a protected area in Kenya.

Hajiwa officials believe the fruitless attempts to restore the Hajiwa trees are in an attempt to attract a population of Kenyan men who feel an economic hardship over trying to regain access to their land.
